Fluorite can be found in virtually any color. This is due to impurities within the stone and an absence of gaps in the color centers, allowing the stone to display banded colors. Because of this, Fluorite is known as the most colorful mineral in the world. It is most commonly found in purple, yellow, green, and blue, or can be colorless. Other variations are pink, white, brown, red, and black. It is also fluorescent under UV light. Fluorite is thought to increase mental clarity and to heighten intellect, improving focus and concentration. A calming stone, it is believed to bring stability and harmony to the wearer.
