Unearthed from the Mohawk River Valley in New York and hand strung in our San Diego studio; I hope you love this bracelet as much as I do! Herkimer Quartz is one of our favorite gemstones. It's a mysterious transparent crystal dappled with black, grey and red inclusions. These inclusions are a result of liquid, solid and gas when these crystals were forming. This is a great example of Wabi-sabi, the Japanese concept that encourages people to accept the beauty of flaws and rawness in natural things. Instead of striving for perfection, this belief embraces letting things grow and progress as is, without refinement. These crystals' double termination points and up to 18 facets grant them more ability to shine, refract and reflect light.
