For Women’s History Month, Luna Norte is teaming up with Girls Rising SD, a nonprofit mentorship program that is designed to empower young women. As a woman-owned brand, we are passionate about supporting young women, as well as, our local community. We discovered Girls Rising SD through San Diego Gives Back and connected deeply with their mission of working with underserved groups, such as, but not limited to the children of incarcerated women, foster children, and single male parents. With their free unique mentorship program, in just 10 years, they have served over 400 young women.
We believe in empowering young women to follow their dreams and succeed in personal growth. If you are in the San Diego area, please consider donating some time to assist the young women in this program. Your contribution can be as simple as taking one of the young women back-to-school shopping or just being a friend and listening to them. Your time can make a tremendous difference in a young woman's life and set them up for future success!

Our Mission
The mission of Girls Rising is to empower girls from eight years of age to early adulthood through a sisterhood of mentorship and career readiness support.
Our Girls Rising Mentorship Program is built through example and community. We believe the value of mentorship is realized through positive modeling and support for girls aged 8-17 from San Diego and Riverside County areas with the greatest need.
Our program for young women between 18-24, Women Emerging, focuses on career readiness and personal development.
